Privacy notice

This notice explains how Liam Everts Business Development ("I", "me") collects and uses personal information, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who I am

Liam Everts Business Development is run by Liam Everts, a sole proprietor based in Cape Town, South Africa. I am responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact me about privacy using the contact form.

What I collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, company and message.
• WhatsApp: if you message my WhatsApp number, your WhatsApp name, number or WhatsApp user ID, and the content of our conversation. Some replies may come from an automated AI assistant, and a person is always available on request.
• Business enquiries: details you choose to share about your business needs, budget and timeline.

Why I use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about.
• To keep a record of our communication in my customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• To follow up on an enquiry you started. I won't send you marketing messages unless you agree, and you can opt out at any time.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your information. I use trusted service providers to run my business, and they process information on my behalf. These include website and form hosting (Netlify), CRM (HubSpot), WhatsApp messaging (Meta), and AI services used to help answer messages (Anthropic). Some of these providers store data outside South Africa, with safeguards required by law.

How long I keep it

I keep personal information only for as long as needed to respond to you, provide services, or meet legal requirements, and then delete it.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. On WhatsApp, reply STOP to stop messages. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

I may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
